- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆I've been with Umpqua bank for over a decade and I honestly haven't had a very good experience at any of their locations. Recently I had an ATM malfunction and not give my debit card back after attempting to deposit my check. I had to wait until the bank was open the next day to retrieve my card, and then when I got it back I was accused of tampering with the machine. I opened a savings account at another bank and within the first couple months I was offered credit cards with great interest rates, and the customer service was really helpful with my questions regarding home and auto loans. For as long as I've been with Umpqua, I have never experienced anything even remotely close to this. I try to keep as little money as I can with Umpqua and I'm not sure how much longer I'll be with them. I want to clarify that most of the people working there do a good job, but the bank itself is awful. After banking here for 10+ years, I have yet to see any benefit from doing business with them.By N F, October 31, 2016
